Purpose

The purpose of Rockaway Beach Interscholastic Baseball is to provide the opportunity for all youth ages 8 through 14 to enjoy and participate in the game of baseball, and in doing so, to teach the fundamentals of baseball along with sportsmanship, physical fitness, team cooperation, fellowship, leadership, citizenship, and athletic competition. It is also the purpose of Rockaway Beach Interscholastic Baseball to set an example by behaving in a positive manner when supervising these youth or as a spectator at all functions, and by encouraging all adults who are involved in any manner (spectator, coach, officer, parent, etc.) to act in a like manner.  Additionally, it is the purpose of Rockaway Beach Interscholastic Baseball to keep the youth uppermost in all our thoughts and deeds and free from any adult compulsion for power and glory.
